Thank you for your interest in Bless International School. We are looking forward to getting to know your family as we begin this educational journey together!
At Bless International School we believe that every child has the right to receive a first-class education. We are also confident that our teaching methods and attention to detail can bring the best out of any child no matter their starting point when they attend the school.
As such, we offer a non-selective admissions process*, preferring to enroll students on a first-come, first-serve basis, rather than hand-picking those who have a higher starting level. Our literacy and mathematics testing prior to admission allows us an early opportunity to begin planning for individual student needs. It is not a determiner as to whether a child will gain admission or not.
Step 1: Request Information
The two easiest ways to contact Bless International School for more information are:
- Use the contact form on our website, give us your details, and the Admissions Office will contact you.
- Contact the Admissions Office via email, give us your details, and the Admissions Office will contact you.
When our Admissions Officer contacts you, they will answer any questions you have about the admissions process, and you will be able to make an appointment to come and visit our school.
It is also possible to phone the school to request admissions information. However, due to the volume of work our Admissions Officer faces, please be aware they will not always be immediately available.
Step 2: Visit Campus
Our Admissions Office will be delighted to schedule a private tour and welcome you to Bless International School. You will get to see our campus, meet our teachers and see how we operate as an institute.
Step 3: Complete the Application Form
Application forms can be downloaded from the Bless International School website, free of charge. Upon submission of your application, you will be asked to pay an application fee of 500 BDT to cover the cost of processing the application. Application processing includes the scheduling of interview times and admission tests.
A paper application form is available, on request, from the School Admissions Office. If choosing this method of application, you will be asked to submit the application fee of 500 BDT at the time of taking the form.
Applications for the school year are accepted on a rolling basis, but we advise the early application to avoid disappointment as Bless International School operates a strict 1:16 teacher-student ratio. This means that available places are limited.
Step 4: Parent Interview/ Student Visit
Pre-school: Once you have submitted the application form for Bless International School; for Playschool, KG-Junior and KG-Senior; you will be provided a parent interview/student visit date. On this date, you will get to have a meeting with the teacher who will take your child’s class. As part of this meeting, the teacher will conduct an informal screening test to ensure that the child is ready for the pre-school class for which you are seeking enrolment.
Class One to Class 4: Once you have submitted your application form for Bless International School you and your child will be invited for a visit. During this visit, you will be able to have a meeting with the principal, while your child completes a literacy and mathematics assessment that will aid us in creating plans for them when they are enrolled in the school.
Step 5: Admissions Decision Notification
Notification of admission acceptance will happen on a rolling basis. Once your child has been accepted into Bless International School you will be asked to come to the school to sign an enrollment contract and submit school fees. This must happen within 10 days of receiving the admissions offer. The school reserves the right to rescind an admission acceptance if payment is not received within the required time.
Step 6: Student Records
All parents applying for classes above Playschool are requested to submit copies of a child’s report cards from their previous school. Documentation from previous schools allows us a better picture of your child’s starting ability, allowing us to create plans that best fit your child’s needs.
Students who have failed in their previous school will be allowed entry into classes that reflect their age, on the provision that parents agree to the implementation of an Individual Development Plan designed to help the child reach the level required to successfully understand their learning.
We request that parents disclose any SEN needs at this stage. This will help Bless International School to provide the best learning experience for the child with SEN requirements.
Waiting List
Places at Bless International School are limited and therefore the class you wish your child to attend may be full. Once a class is filled, we will create a waiting list, and should a place become available those on the waiting list will be offered the chance to take the seat.
To get a place on the Bless International School waiting list, you are required to submit an application form for your child, with an application fee of 500 BDT. Waiting list positions will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Therefore, those who apply earliest will be given the first refusal on available seats.
It is the duty of parents to ensure that their contact details are kept up to date to allow Bless International School to contact them should a place at the school become available.
English Language Requirement *
Students wishing to gain admission for KG Senior and above, who do not meet the English language requirements for that class, will be required to participate in after-school English classes. The decision to place a child into the English classes will be made by the Principal The decision will be based on literacy testing and interview with the child. The English program will be provided at an additional cost.
